Getting Started with Photoshop
Activity 2.6
This post will be an introduction to GIMP Photoshop! We will go over some of the ways to switch from tool to tool on GIMP. This post is very important, as it is essential to be familiar with the set up of the program.
First thing to note when looking at this image is the small right-angled triangle at the bottom right of some of the tool icons. This triangle indicates there is more than one tool in that group.
In order to access a tool that is within a group, hover your mouse above a tool. That should make a tab appear, listing all the tools in the group. To switch from tool to tool, press down on the visible icon. That should produce a menu like the one on the picture. Once you see this menu, without releasing the mouse, drag it to the tool you want to switch to.
Note: If this way is difficult, go to the menu bar on top and click tools. Most, if not all the tools are grouped into three groups: selection tools, paint tools, and transform tools. You can switch from tool to tool from there.
That is all for this post, as to not make it too long!
My Reflection:
GIMP is one of the many programs that can be used to edit and photoshop your images! I like the way the program is organized with various tools to allow the user to make very efficient and precise edits.
